Relative pitch is the skill we use to identify notes that would otherwise be unknown, based on their relationship to a known note - often called a 'reference' pitch. Ie if the note 'C' is played, a person with good relative pitch skills would be able to identify another note at random, for example a 'G' based on their understanding of it's relationship to 'C'. They might be able to hum an 'Eb' becuase they can hear in their head the note that is 3 semitones up in pitch from the given note, 'C'. In this game you’ll hear a random note from the selected major scale. Identify the note using the answer buttons - they display the note names and scale degrees for the Major scale you have selected. Use Replay Note or 'R' to hear the note again, and Next or Space for the next note. You can use the reference buttons to hear the selected scale or it's tonic and you can change the settings anytime in the Game Settings menu. You can also download a score card .png should you like!
